During August 2-5 the school karate club went to Iiyama City (Village?) in Nagano Prefecture for our summer camp.
８／２−５、長野県飯山市で夏合宿を行いました。

この道場は旅館に接続されていて、おそらく築３０年間以上だと思います！
Training menu for 4 days was basically;
7am jog
7:30am breakfast altogether
9:30-12noon morning practice - skipping (2000), warm-up, standing basics, moving basics
12:30pm lunch
2:30-6pm afternoon practice - same menu, but if there was time, ido kumite & uchi komi kumite
6:30pm dinner
9pm check student's training diaries
だいたいの毎日のスケジュール；
７：００ 30分ジョギング
７：３０ 朝食
９：３０－１２：００ 午前中稽古（縄跳び２０００、体操、基本、移動基本）
１２：３０ ランチ
１４：３０－１８：００ 午後稽古(午前中と同じメニュー／時間があれば移動組手と打ち込み）
１８：３０ 夕食
２１：００ 生徒の練習日記をチェック
4 hours by highway bus from Tokyo, then 52 minutes by a small train into the mountains, then the Japanese inn bus picked us up. Nothing outside by farmer's fields, forests and many different bugs, even fireflies!
東京から高速道路バスに４時間乗って、長野駅からローカル線で５２分。旅館の方が飯山駅に迎えにきてくれました。周りには何もなく、あるのは畑・農園、いろんな種類の虫が大量にいるのみ。蛍もいましたよ！
The 47th Wadokai Japan Karate Nationals Championships was August 27 & 28.

During August 9-12 was the school's summer high-performance training with many school graduates coming to push the students 'a little' harder. Practices are 9am to noon and the temperature in the dojo was probably 35 Celsius.
The OB/OG are running the students through different basic training menus.
On 8/12 the students also elected their new captain and sub-captain from the 2nd year students.

At the 34th Annual Rensei (Training) National Budokan Championships (elementary and junior high school age) on July 30, the men and women national kata teams performed a demonstration.
Men's team performed Annan kata.
Women's team performed the Kururunfa kata.
The young competitors did team kata and the top eight teams for each group then moved onto to team kumite.
