Two boys from my junior high school club competed in the Tokyo Junior High School Tournament on Sunday. It was the qualifier for both the summer Kanto regionals and JKF Junior High Nationals. While they didn't make it past the first round, basically because they are 1st years up against 3rd years who are a head taller (see picture above), they had a good experience and tried their best.日曜日、我が中学校空手道部の１年男子２人が関東大会と全国大会の予選会に参加しました。１回戦で負けたのは残念でしたけど、相手は３年生でけっこう背が高かったので（写真参照）２人ともよくがんばって、いい経験になったと思います。
When they are 3rd years, it'll be their turn to take home the medals...
