Speed training スペードトライニング

Recently with my training partners I've been trying to learn more karate-related exercises to use with the karate club by doing them myself, plus simply to do as a challenge. Here I am with resistance bands on the ankles, a resistance band wrapped around the back to the hands, all while trying to hit suspended, moving targets on an elastic band. So tough!

空手部で使えそうな空手につながるエクササイズをもっと学びたくて、最近、トレーニング仲間と練習をしています。単に、チャレンジでもあります。写真の僕は、両足首はゴムで結ばれ、腰にまわしたゴムを両手で持った状態で、天井から吊り下がっている二つの的を打つ練習をしています。とても大変！

Rice planting 田植え

Last Sunday I went rice planting with the junior high school as part of their 'Earth Project'. It was nice to see the students, parents and some little ones easily working together in the mud.

この前の日曜日、中学生が行っている「アース・プロジェクト」の田植えに参加しました。生徒をはじめとし、多くの家族の方がなれない水田作業を楽しく仲良く進めている姿は印象的でした。

High School Spring Tournament! 春季関東予選大会2012

 

Recently the Seiritsu high school club competed in the Spring Tokyo High School Tournament, which is also the qualifier for the summer Kanto Regionals.

最近、成立学園高校空手道部は春季の東京都高校空手道大会・関東予選大会に出場しました。

Individual events were held on Sunday, April 22 at Nihon Tsurugaoka High School and team events were held here at Seiritsu.

4/22に個人戦が日本大学鶴が丘高等学校で、4/29に団体戦が成立学園で行われました。

Two boys made it to the best 32 out of 86.

男子個人組手ベスト32（3回戦進出）2名

Boys team kata best 8.

男子団体形→8位

Girls team kata first round of 6 finish.

女子団体形→6位入賞

Boys team kumite best 8.

男子団体組手→ベスト８

Girls team kumite best 8.

女子団体組手→ベスト8

Sometimes when I tell people overseas we had hundreds of earthquakes everyday after 3/11 last year they don't believe me.

たまに海外に住んでる人に、去年の3/11東北地方太平洋沖地震の後、毎日数百回の地震があったんだと話しても信じてもらえません。
